Sustainable Development Goals
Every two years, WWF publishes the Living Planet Report, which outlines the current state of our planet and the main threats it faces. The 2018 report shows that global populations of fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles have fallen by 60% on average between 1970 and 2014. This is mainly due to the loss of habitats and overharvesting and illegal hunting of animals.
This animated film, created by the Zoological Society of London, provides an overview of the main findings of the report and what the key issues are. It also highlights that, if we act now, we can reverse the damage and protect our planet and wildlife for future generations.
